Mitsubishi Pajero N Reg 2.8TD Exceed Cutting out?
Hi,
I could really do with some ideas or advice on what's causing my mitsubishi pajero 2.8TD LWB Exceed on an N reg to constantly cut out on me & my wife on a morning from being stood, or at work when its being stood for 7 hours plus per day?
Mainly on a morning though, starts up fine, ticks over for about a min then cuts out, ignition off, back on, turn key & it takes about 1 min of continuos turn over to start her again after which its fine, will run up a mountain all day long, but come the following day, same issue?
I keep up to its maintenance but i dont understand it at all?
I have just changed its air, oil & fuel filters, inc. a Complete oil change but still the problem stays which i thought would have cured it, thinking it was being starved of fuel, but surely not with clean filters & oil/fluids? so back to the drawing board.
Please help, because she has being a great car for the last 3 years since i have had her, until now, that is.
I will mention that about three months ago, all the dash instruments went dead, no speedo etc., to solve this i had an electronic A/T unit fitted to replace the old one that had burnt on me.
It was fitted by the 4x4 specialists that sold me the car in the first place, at a cost of just over 100.00 for the part, but apart from this glitch, its being a healthy motor, any advice or thoughts or similar knowledge of this happening elsewhere will be greatly appreciated, any pointers to the direction of certain parts being faulty will be welcome.
Thankyou.
