A long time ago I lived for a short time in Westbourne park grove Near Ladbroke grove in London. It was the early 70s and a hip and happeing place to be. There was a shop with a huge nose on the wall at the end of the street . At the time it was simply a shop to me but Ive often wondered since, what on earth it was all about.Has anyone any onfo on this or where I could look it up .

You could ask at the London Yahoo newsgroup. The newsgroup which answers all questions 'London'.
Just a thought...but might it have been a snuff-shop in earlier days? That's 'snuff' as in 'pinch of tobacco to be sniffed up', rather than 'snuff' as in 'kill'!
banana - you'll be glad to hear it's still a "hip and happening place to be" but I can report there's no nose left. I know people who've lived round there for many years - will ask them what they nose ;-)
