pigalle - it's their equivalent of our Soho, a bit dodgy, but verry lively.

The Latin Quarter (5th ardt.) is worth a look. There are some good bars down Rue Moufetarde and if you head further down towards the river you will find some nice bars and cafes around the Sorbonne just off Blvrd St Michel. btw - if you don't fancy going native there is a good Charles Wells pub called "The Bombardier" just behind the Pantheon.
