I'd like to ask if you actually viewed those links that I posted yesterday, or did you just delete them? If you did see them, I'd like you to tell me how Einstein's behaviour is acceptable but mine is in breach of the rules? Yes, I have often gone off topic for which I apologise to those users in question, but otherwise I fail to see where my behaviour is worse than Einstein's. Those links were evidence of that. All I'm asking for is some equality and consistency. If my productive critisism is in breach of the rules, how come Einstein's insults aren't? If we had both been reprimanded then fair enough, but you must surely see how I am frustrated at what I see as blatent favouritism towards him. I don't think my now deleted post "Fair enough Einstein, but in future could you please read people's responses more carefully before replying. Thankyou." constitutes 'name calling, harassement or abuse' and certainly does not warrant Einstein's reply of "You don't need to be so arrogant and pompous about it TJ". He has responded with similar unprovoked aggression towards me on numerous occasions, as pointed out in those links. Yet I never see any reprisals against him. Could you please explain this?
Tj. Yes the links were reviewed, as were the very many posts from you which were positive, helpful and friendly.
"Harassement" in this case includes storing an abusive 'answer' which you posted to a four month-old thread yesterday (one which was repeatedly deleted in April/ May); it includes tracking down a contributor and posting abuse for no reason other than to cause upset - *nothing* to do with the thread.
"Name calling" and "abuse"? Take your pick: today you have used homophobia. Equating editorial decisions with Nazism was a little harsh, too.
Einstein has been contacted via email and has agreed to end this nonsense. We cannot contact you via email as your account details list a dummy email account.
Once again: failure to comply with the Terms Of Use and the Message Board Rules (having been given a final warning and offered one more chance, in your case!) results in the account being deleted. Whoever it is.

Come on TJ, a bit of selective memory there! I remember a big row between you and Einstein recently as it was in a thrad about me and Jacob. You made accusations against Einstein, he tried to defend himself and tried to stop the row several times and you kept on insulting him! If he's agreed to end the row, I think you should too, and give the rest of us some peace and quiet.
Ok Ed you've been good enough to explain your thoughts on why one of Tj's posts has had the plug pulled on it which i appreciate and I'm sure he does himself as this type of communication is useful to see the logic behind the decision but can you explain why his funny post on my question in the News section was deleted? For the life of me i can't see anything objectionable no matter how hard i try with his post? For anyone not aware of the history of the site I'm not a psuedo for Tj nor am I his biggest fan as we have had our share of tiffs here in the past but I have to stick up for free speech when it doesn't (as far as i can see) contravene the rules.
[Tj's individual posts were not deleted. His/ her account was deleted, thereby removing all posts. This is the ultimate sanction and taken, as explained, with regret and only after a final warning had been ignored. - AB Editor]

Ok, one point at a time. The answer I posted again was making a point that has repeatedly being deleted, namely that Einstein is often answering people's questions incorrectly simply because he isn't doing people the courtesy of reading properly what they have written. I've made this point to him (very politely as you have seen) but have been met with aggression. My post was an alternative way of making that point, considering my more conventional approach has failed. Now, I really cannot let this next point go. When have I EVER used homophobia on this site? I HAVE NEVER DONE SO AND NEVER WOULD because it goes against everything I believe in. I would like to know immediately to which post you are referring because my only explanation is that you have me confused with someone else. I have been one of the few to actively speak out against the racism which has prevailed on this site at times, which appears less important to you than somebody calling someone else an idiot. I haven't mentioned Nazism. I implied that parallels could be drawn between your action of completely wiping out any record of my existance on this site, and a fascist mentality. Now that I am aware that Einstein has been contacted about this, I am less inclined to continue my bad feeling. But I'm not a mind reader, to me it appeared as though I was being singled out for persecution. Is it any wonder I've been so defensive at times? OnlyMe, I'm not saying I've been an angel, what I'm saying is that I have acted no worse than Einstein, and the evidence was there for all to see before it was deleted. In fact, it was he who started the bad feeling between us, not I. With respect, I don't know how long you have been coming to this site, but I suspect this all started long before your first visit, in which case you won't know the full story.
I've just realised what you may be referring to when you claim I have been homophobic. Earlier I may have used the term 'bum-chum' to describe a close relationship between two people (I can't be sure because you have deleted my post). Let me assure you that where I'm from, this term has no homosexual implications whatsoever, it merely describes two people who are very pally. I'm sorry if this was misinterpreted. I'm at a loss as to what else you could possibly be referring. BTW, Einstein, if you are reading this, a link to the apology you posted would be apprieciated.

Tj, for the good of the site, the sanity of the users and your own blood pressure I'd like to politely ask you to cease your campaign. You are not doing either yourself or anyone else any favours.
Without wishing to make an issue of the matter, you have asked Einstein "for a link to the apology you (he, Einstein) posted ". If this is a reference to what the Ab Ed said in his response to you then you would appear to be guilty of the crime that you've accused others of. Not reading the postings correctly. Check what was actually said.
I'm intrigued by the Ed's statement that he can't contact you by e-mail. I thought that it was a prerequisite that one required a valid e-mail address to register for this site.
I'm sure that you would get more credibility if you e-mailed your complaints to the Ed at Answerbank instead of airing them here in public. That would also give the Ed the chance to respond to you privately
I believe that there are others who should adopt a similar response. It is noticeable that certain individuals have to jump on the bandwagon and have a dig at the Ab Ed whenever there is the slightest hint of criticism from anyone else.
Whinge in private, there's a perfectly good mechanism for doing that. Use e-mail.
You are probably offending a lot more people than those who will join your threads. I'm convinced that most won't want to get involved. Please don't drive people away.

Now this is more like it !!!!!
A proper debate is a lot more interesting than people answering AB questions with guesses and assumptions. More of it please. No apologies....just good old fashioned mud slinging! When they make the movie of this - which they surely will - I reckon it'll be Danny De Vito as the Ed, Glenn Close as TJ and Einstein will be played by somebody a bit smarmy....... Michael Portillo perhaps.
Norman Dyson - What am I frightened of? Sharks. Great, now someone's gonna accuse me of being Sharkist. 3s_a_crowd - No, what I said wasn't a reference to what AB Ed said, so no, I'm not 'guilty of the crime' that I've 'accused others (sic) of'. This goes way back and I suspect you don't know the half of it. Einstein - I don't think it was quite that long ago, but I realise that it's not always easy to track down a specific comment on this site. In which case, if you could reiterate what you posted in that thread, this also would be apprieciated. Birchy - As I'm obviously seen as the bad guy in all of this, I'd have to be played by Alan Rickman. I'm twirling my moustache as we speak.

Tj why don't you give it a rest. You can't go on like this for the rest of your life.
OK, maybe you can, but I would suggest that you might become a much happier person if you just buried the hatchet and got on with life.
I don't understand why you consider that it's your rightful position to keep up a crusade of persecution against a site contributor.
