Irish accent

Wondering if anyone could give me thier opinion on this? Why do women especially find an Irish accent such an endearing quality? What is it about Irish accents?

Beauty is in the ear of the listener, some folk hate irish accents, some love Brum, some hate american drawl etc me, i like some irish accents, not others but then i'm male so my opinion invalid to your q. i suppose.

Being from Northern Ireland, I'm only offended that Dirty Egg seems to believe there are only two accents on this island! Admittedly, Northern Irish city accents can sound a bit harsh but remember, there are many softer, more rural accents in NI - take the accents of actors Liam Neeson and James Nesbitt for example. As for why women find Irish accents attractive - I've no idea but I'm not complaining!

My Irish wife (as do her freinds) really likes the Scottish accent (as opposed to my Norfampton one), but also likes the soft Donegal accent.

I don't know what it is or why it is but it is the most sexy accent that I know - I love it, it's like melting chocolate!
