Correct me if I'm wrong, Hippy, but I guess your comment refers to the choice of 'Stewart' as a first/Christian name...ie the one parents may choose. The question is a little confusing in that it refers in the title-line specifically to its use as a surname and then in the body of the question it just says 'name'. Mine was purely a 'surname' response, as was the link I provided. Cheers
