I thought it was self explanatory. When you listen to the words, look at whats going on in the ad and then read the caption it should all slot into place.
Its saying that understatement is best and the guy in the advert is just a pretender and isn't what he thinks he is the bloke at the end is who he should be.
It's reassuring to know that I am not the only one who didn't understand it - I also thought that both blokes were the same man as suggested on the link supplied. I shall view it with diffeerent eyes next time I see it.
NO NO NO !! They are the same man - there's no promotion and he's not lost the car - he's the great pretender !!! All the way through he's pretending - he's not happy -he's l;iving a lie. He then sees what he could be like in the bloke at the end - understated like the car !!!
Car and perfume adverts are just about the worst you can see - especially at christmas and mobile phones are almost as bad. Is the great pretender played by JohnBarrowman(?) from Torchwood?
