finding love in a crazy world that we live in

i wonder if love is what it used to be many people get married then divorced within a year and a half i know guys that have super modal girlfriends those girls eight times out of ten will leave the guy they are with and find someone else and sometimes they have a kid and the guy has to pay child support. i know women that deserve to be happy and the guy they are with eight times out of ten will leave them pregeant and take off and leave the women to rasie the child on her own and that some of the guys beat them. some people meet and if the moment is right they can find true love some people are lucky and some people just suffer because that is there destiny or fate i know that I am not the only one out there that thinks this way i have a good friend and we hang out when we have time sometimes all you need in life is someone who you can call your friend one or has many has you can find if you have someone that you love and they love you just has much do everything in your power to hold on that special someone because in the world we live in today it is hard to find a person that will care for you for who you really are it is easy to find a man or women that will ruin your life that few moments of fun can turn into a life time of hardship believe me i know people that it has happened too one more thing in a world of crazness and problems for people who love each other truely love each other love should be the last thing you worry about. as someone told me know man or woman is worth your tears and the one that is won't make you cry.

Ultraman - took a while but I think I got the gist of your post!

I was once married several years ago to someone I thought i was going to spend the rest of my life with. As is quite often the case it didn't turn out as expected! Not only did it not turn out as expected but 8 years on and i'm still running from him. Last weekend on a visit home to see my parents I spent most of the time in a police station. Not because i'd done anything wrong but because the police thought it was the safest place for me at that time.

This nutter not only ruined my life several years ago but he's still doing it to this day.

So the lesson i learned the hard way is to trust nobody, look after number one and live life to the full because you just never know when it's gonna end!

Don't spend your life looking for the 'right person', if they are out there they'll find you, if not at least you won't have wasted precious time looking!

I hate to say it but I agree with bednobs on this one :-) Without being too critical, a long post like this really needs fullstops so we can actually understand what you are saying. Like bednobs I stopped reading 1/2 way through.

From the gist I got......You can find true love. You can find someone who respects you. Someone who doesn't mistreat you. Look at the positive side. I don't mistreat people and I know there are loads of people out there like me. I just think that when you're looking for love you ignore your gut instinct and end up with someone you knew deep down wasn't right. When you're not looking for love you can judge a person more accurately and that's when you tend to find them.

I counted 4 fullstops.But then imk not anally retentive about little things like that.Love is a throwaway word these days.Who really means it?I think its just a means to an end .Honesty and loyalty are in short supply these days.
