Vietnam to Cambodia Border Crossing
A friend and I are travelling south through vietnam from Hanoi and would like to travel from Hoi An to Cambodia - skipping the southern part of Vietnam. Is it possible to cross the border in the North East of Cambodia? I notice that there is a marked road on the map of indochina between Pleiku (in Vietnam) and Stung Treng (In Cambodia).

Thanks for your answers guys. I suspect that there is no border crossing there, as I have looked on the customs website and it was just listed. I was just confused why there is a road clearly marked on the map which passes over the border in the North East of Cambodia.
The reason why we would prefer to skip the bottom half of Vietnam is because we have limited time. We only have 5 - 6 weeks and want to spend a few weeks in Thailand and Cambodia as well. Cutting through to Cambodia from Hoi An would save alot of time, and we want to limit our time sitting in a seat in a bus/train. Also I have already been up through the southern part of Vietnam, up to Nga Trang and have been told that the best part of Vietnam is the north.
