Reading the earlier post on Jordans baby, why do people assume the surname will be Andre? When i married i kept my name, when i had a baby she took my name. Its the 21st century after all.Anyone else keep their name?
I believe she took his name in marriage although uses Katie Price still as thats the name she is famous with. Their first child has his surname, so why shouldnt this one?
It annoys me when someone gets married and cards are addressed to Mr&Mrs so&so.Like you say, people just assume.I think rasmus was refering to the topic in general, not to the Prices.
It used to be even worse: the wife would lose her first name! It was very common up to even the 50s or 60s that mail would be received addressed to 'Mr and Mrs John Smith'. I know of some old folks who still think this is 'right', and it doesn't bother the wife at all!!
My maiden name was Pickles so thought maybe it was tme for a change when I got married!! I actually love the surname now and wish i had kept it. Howver I now have a puppy called Pickles!!
I changed my name but like cockroach young master hellion has it as his middle name.
When my friend got married her husband changed his name to hers, that really confused people!
I kept my surname, i'm very proud of my Scottish family and heritage even though i'm English. It's also my given name, the person i've been from birth, why should i change it just for a man, no matter how much i love him? It's such an outdated tradition these days i feel.
i will keep my surname but any children we have will have their father's surname as he has children from a past relationship with his surname so i want them to all have the same name
