How does Michael Jackson 'bleach' his skin? I missed most of the programme last night on Ch 5 so I don't know what was said there, but I've often wondered how he does it.

If Michael Jackson does have this condition - which surely bleaches his skion in uneven areas, would it not make more sense to wear 'black' makeup to make his skin a uniform colour based on his ethnic origin, rather than the somewhat freakish ghostly shade he has opted for? Just a thought.

I can't tell you the exact products, but you can buy bleaches for black skin to lighten it up - I think these were very popular in the 60's and 70's where the lighter your skin, the more beautiful you were considered (within some black cultures).

You can buy creams for it but they are really bad for you and can damage your skin. I can't remember what's in them but it's a type of acid or something and I think generally it's sold under the guise of fading out liver spots/ freckles etc. It's popular in Jamaica.

Personally I am very sceptical that he has this skin condition that he claims he has.And I can't believe he could have used the creams that can damage the skin, over such a long period of time, without it causing a lot of pain and discomfort, not to mention permanent disfigurement (that is puting aside the actual plastic surgery).Do these creams actually lighten the skin as much as all that? I don't know, but MJ's skin ( not just his face but also his hands) are very pale.

So what's left? is it just make up? If it is, then it's very good mak-up.
