Housewarming prez

My friend is 8 months pregnant and has just moved into a little cottage (rented) with her boyfriend. They have all the usual household things as they have practically been living together before. What could I get them for a housewarming present? What would you like to receive?

Hi. I'd get them something indulgent that they can just enjoy rather than something practical. Mabye a bottle of champagne or something like that. if you really want to get them something practical then bedding is a nice idea if you';ve seen their colour scheme? x

When I moved into my house my sister gave me a hamper of lots of yummy food and wine, it was great I didn't have to cook for about 3 days!

The friend is 8 months pregnant so alcohol is out. I`d give them a good luck in your new home card with an I.O.U in it for your services as a babysitter in a few weeks time & pay for them to have a nice meal out.

If they have everything and you can't think of something they might need then what about a food hamper and some wine? Or if you'd rather get them something they can keep then what about a picture to hang on the wall? Or... some vouchers to get some professional pictures taken so they can use them once the baby is born... and then they can hang those on the wall.

How about a nice picture frame (useful for when the baby is here) or some nice scented candles?

Again, depends on how much you want to spend, if you want to combine it with a baby gift, i would recommend a baby sheepskin. My two boys slept on theirs from birth and then had it on the floor in their bedroom afterwards. We had to upgrade to a full size one now, but they still like to sleep on it!
