Any ideas for a 5 year old boy's fancy dress on a Recycling theme - I wanted something different to making an outfit out of bin liners or old food packaging. Any ideas appreciated!

He was a TV set! It was so good, my mum made it out of a cardboard box, painted all the details on it. It had braces to hold it on his body and he had an aerial on his head. You could adapt this to make it look like a broken one for recycling maybe.
How about making, from cardboard, the recycling symbol. The one that's made up of the 3 arrows making up a triangle (it's on most packaging). Make 2 and attach them together with 2 strips of cloth, to go over each of the shoulders. You end up with one 'symbol' at the front of the body and one at the back.
You can then 'decorate' each triangle/arrow with a theme or cover them in recycled goods. Tins/plastic bottles/tin foil - anything recyclable, but not too heavy. Your son won't be able to walk otherwise!!!
