i want to take my daughter for lunch on her 18th, it's on a tuesday, i was thinking of a smart resturant in manchester so we can go shopping after, anyone recommend a good place??

I love the "Living Room" - gorgeous food - well priced - and the odd celeb turns up occasionally!

p.s. their steak ciabatta sandwhich is bliss! :-)

The bank - Moseley street, lovely inside, nice food not too pricey!

There are loads in the Trafford Centre and the shopping is out of this world...
The place it self is amazing and will be even better once the extension is finished.

Salford Quays is brilliant, loads of shops and plenty places to eat.

If its for her 18th - I wouldn't go to the Trafford Centre and eat off a plastic tray. There are plenty of gorgeous places to eat in the city centre - my brother is a chef at The Northern Quarter and the food is sensational, just a couple of mins walk from Harvey Nics, Selfridges.....

Anywhere you eat in that massive food hall full of chavs. If someone took me there for a special lunch, I'd think they were taking the p*ss!

i will be taking her to the city, i go to trafford centre a lot & even though there's nothing wrong with it i would'nt want to take her for a nice meal there!!

Massive food halls i don't mean the orient i mean the ten or so restaurants around the top i guess "YOU HAVE,NT BEEN THERE"

Travel down into Derbyshire, and try the Green Room at Belper. It'll be more quiet & personal if you leave the hustle and bustle of Manchester - plus you can shop at the peak Shopping Centre, just a few miles down the road.
