Really love Dan Antolpolski and, tho he's gone off the boil a tad of late, Billy Connolly still kicks ass live. LMAO at Jimmy Carr (laughs per mintue, he's great value!), and Marcus Brigstock is good live...esp his A to Z of dance...ROTFL!! Also Ross Noble...tho it depends alot on his audience.
Julian Barrett is the best I've seen live. He was in the old Metz 'judder' adverts. Peter Kay is obviously fantastic - i remember seeing him on TV before he was well known bemoaning 'cr*p pop' - "yer mum goes to the supermarket and comes back with 10 litres of Rola Cola". i thought then he was going to be massive. Never rated Billy Connolly at all. Or Robin Williams.
Noddy..have to agree with you on teh "anyone whomakes me laugh...", as I love stadn up comedy - my fabourite form of entertainment. Living just outside Edinburgh, I'm lucky enough to have the Fringe Festival 3 wks a year..unlimited comedy from some of the best comedians in the world just now. Starts August...can't wait!
Peter Kay...hilarious man live...seen him twice, great both times (that Roal Cola bit rja...fab!). Tommy Yiernan was brilliant too...actually sore from laughing, which is a great feeling!
Adam Hills. Aussie comedian who will be HUGE in a couple of years time. Look out for him at your local comedy night before its too late and he starts doing bigger gigs you have to pay more for/can't get tickets for. He's been on the floor show a couple of times already on BBC1 and been on Never Mind The Buzzcocks. He always gets the audience on side and loves drawing them into his stories and turning their contributions into material. See him at the Hen and Chicken in Bristol this weekend.
GO, YOU BIG RED FIRE ENGINE!!!
Lotte*pearce....Adam Hills is already pretty huge in Scotalnd...probably because he's a Fringe regular..been playing here for years. Last year he did even bigger venues, which I think refelcts his increasing popularity. His shows always sell out and everyone who's been to see him thinks he's great. This year, he's on our list to see, and I expect he'll be as excellent as ever. His new show is "Go you big red fire engine 2"!!
