I'm sure that during one of the Chelsea Flower Show broadcasts Alan Titchmarsh said that he had just become a father again. I know this isn't earth-shattering news one way or the other, but no-one seems to be able to fill me in about this! Anyone out there know the answer?

All I could find is this:

'Alan, 53, gardens organically, and lives with his wife, two daughters and a medley of animals.'

Seems a bit old to be having a new baby ??

I very much doubt it.Maybe you mis-heard new baby for new book (he has just written a new book, due to be published in Sept.)http://www.alantitchmarsh.com/about/week/weekthatwas.htm
I suspect that it's a ratherpretentious 'luvvy' way of saying he has a new book coming out - as noddy says. Celebrities often say they've given birth after writing a book....

I don't think there was a mix up about him meaning his new book, because he said he had bought an antique chicken feeder because he had just become a dad again - do many novelists buy presents for their books??!!
I run ALan's web site. What he was on about was that one of his Chickens had just given birth!!!! It was a bit of tongue in cheek!

Thank you, seanoo, even tho' it's not the answer I expected - my friends and I were convinced that Alan's organic lifestyle had reaped surprising results!!!! I'm very relieved that I hadn't dreamt the whole thing!
