Hotel for NEC Birmingham

Can anyone recomend a decent (not too posh) hotel for a visit to the NEC Birmingham? I'd like to be able to leave the car there and walk to the NEC instead of fighting with the traffic.

Sorry, but you've no chance ! I take it this is your first trip to the NEC. Never mind fighting with the traffic, the car park charges are extremly high, and accomodation within any kind of walking distance is at a premium. Try Coventry just a few miles down the road and see about getting a train in to NEC from there. Good Luck!

Try the website I've listed below.. It has a list of guest houses and B&Bs on it as well as the normal hotels... There are two hotels onsite at the NEC (Hilton and Crowne Plaza) but I'd imagine most of the places in the area have shuttle buses that go there every day...

The Arden is pretty cheap and close by...
