I know there are organisations that give seriously ill children special treats or grant wishes to make their lives happier...but is there an organisation that does something similar for disabled or seriously ill adults? The person in question is 34.

I work for a dept in the DLA, and I have never heard of one, but you can ask your local social services through your council. For children there is the make a wish charity, call them, they may know. Good Luck!
Try The Willow Foundation - willowfoundation.org.uk - a charity that arranges and funds 'special days' for seriously ill adults between the ages of 16-40.
