Honestly, there are two main roads, basically like most lively resorts, which run through the resort. One takes you to the beach (wouldn't touch with a barge pole, cars park there overnight) and the other away from town. The loggerhead turtles are beautiful, must go out on a boat trip and see them. No watersports on Laganas beach because of their protection programme. Zante town probably isn't worth a visit if you are young as it just contains sea side restaurants with hiked up prices and an old church. There are earth tremours there most years as with much of Greece I think. Nothing to worry about though. It is very very warm shall we say from June to about the end of October. The airport is an absolute dive and should be avoided for as long as possible on the way home (queues for 2 hours in the blazing sunshine is no-ones idea of fun). Go to www.justzante.co.uk for more info. Guaranteed good time if your'e looking for an 18-30s type holiday with lots of lights and kareoke bars!
