Sack Jeremy Clarkson? Are they mad?
13 Answers
The non-story that is the remark Jeremy Clarkson made apparently saying he did 186mph in London has led to calls for him to be sacked.

Has no-one who commented on this to the papers ever seen Top Gear? He's famous for his rhetoric - and that includes all of the times he says incredibly untrue things.
But - even if it were true - should he lose his job over it, when the law should deal with it?

He is a plonker and everything he says should be taken with a pinch of salt.
But if people want to watch him it doesn't mean to say they will all do what he does. Besides which as pointed out at any given time of the day he would be hard pushed to get above 40mph.
I don't watch TG any more because I got bored with his mouth although I like Hamster but sacking him is just silly.

Does anyone for a moment that's true?
Did you know there's no word gullible in the dictionary?
Up to a year or so ago the record speeding ticket was on a road a few miles from where I live at 157mph.
I think it's been pipped recently but if he had a ticket for that speed he'd have been in court and it'd have been all over the press.
Mind you he has done some incredibly stupid things.
I seem to recall him driving a McClaren SLR at stupid speeds in Denmark(?) when he could hardly keep his eyes open. He needed to stop in the end.
Hopefully they learnt their lesson from that because if a member of the public gets hurt abroad because of a BBC TV program there's going to be an almighty stink.

Whether he did it or not, he's a smug moron who should be sacked anyway.
If it was "just a joke", why is breaking the law funny? Would everyone think it was funny if he was to claim that he had had sex with an under-age girl?
As he is in a position to influence people (being on TV) then of course he should be sacked for making such boasts.
