Trying to find the title/author of a book by the storyline....

I am trying to find the title/author of a 'chick lit' style book that I read in paperback a couple of years ago.
The story had two young women sharing a flat. The main character of the two worked in a record shop and at some stage in the story was mugged which seemed to be a life changing experience. There was a love interest who had been a friend for many years, then following the mugging was seen in a different light and they became an item. The storyline in the sidelines was regarding the second flatmate who was engaged to a man that none of her other friends were fond of - he was very boring and too old for her if I remember correctly.
If anyone can recall the title/author from this vague description I would be very grateful!
