I saw "Swearing" on "Recent Posts" & it brought to mind my afternoon of fun (NOT!) on the phone with a certain large utility company...
However, I'm now cool, calm & collected once again & making up new words for the next encounter! :-))

Brilliant!! : )
I can assure you that I swore with a vengeance when my computer started playing up again. Would you believe I said: "blasted thing!" ???? : )
No - of course I didn't. The air turned blue, but at least there was no one around to hear me.
Yep - got some great big old fireplaces in this pile, but only one fire going atm. Lovely. Plenty of logs, so might even keep it going all night. Can't beat them.

Just passing back through on my way to my pit...
Sorry ELVIS68 - I'd thought that my posts answered your question. I swear. When I feel it's necessary for emphasis, for humour or just for moments when I $*&ing well feel like it. Ok?
I posted 1 innocuous Q in CB so long after my previous Q that a "blue moon" would wonder what it had to do to make the grade as a long period of time & it got removed the next day, so be happy that yours has the chance (so far) of being replied to...
Jeez...& Icey wonders why I stick to Q&P!
Night all! :-)

Night L-in-K.
Sorry Elvis. Thought you'd left the thread, so it wouldn't matter.
As for dropping swear words into everyday conversation -I think most folk do. Depends on what the words are though, who you're talking to and if that other person'd find you offensive or not. It doesn't bother me personally, but if i was talking about something important/sensible, i'd hope the other person'd have more intelligence than to pepper the conversation with expletives. The odd one or two are neither here nor there - I mean every other word, sort of thing.

actually, to be honest, I do swear a bit, but not to excess.
I never use the 'c' word unless provoked beyond any other word (used it to the ex once, but that was because he really was being one). Favourites are tw*t (usually when I'm driving) and bu55er which I love. (The word, not the action. Oh, T - just don't go there - far too early...) ;-)
