Has Gordon Brown got only one eye?

During an episode of Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned, Frank made the above claim. Is it true?

I believe he has a glass eye. Have heard this one before and studied him on TV. I can't tell if it's the left or the right though.

Yes it is true. He is blind in his left eye as a result of the retina detaching itself in an accident when he was playing rugby at the age of 15. I have heard conflicting versions of whether he has a false eye, or whether it is merely his own eye which is blind.
