Dinner Party

On a light hearted note, after some really rewarding discussion in the news section this week, I was wondering who I would like to invite out of AB contributors to a dinner party to make the evening really enjoyable. I was just wondering who other AB people might put on a list of, say, six people to invite.

I gotta be on the list FP!! Witty, GSOH, good looking, intelligent coversation!! Robert Winston..I love his programmes. Bill Oddie..just a fantastic person And definitely Sean Connery..his voice send shivers down the spine!!!

i would be the barman and waiter,i would invite fakeplastic,lindy loo,andy hughes,bernado,ali deakes,and shipstabber.ab editor would be the doorman come bouncer.we would all have to wear funny hats and take turns in dancing with eachother.oh what a night that would be.

I'll put my list on. I really would love everybody to come, but if I was forced to choose, it would have to be: New Forester: For his knowledge in an area which really interests me, and his sense of humour AndyHughes: No dinner party would be complete without him LindyLoo: As a soulmate Bernardo: For his sense of fun and quirky humour, plus his obvious intelligence beneath it all El duerino: For not being afraid of saying what he thinks and having very strong views, but with an obvious soft heart buried not too deep. Zgma: As a regular, good humoured and fair contributor. And in reserve: IndieSinger: For his wit and sense of fun sometimes hiding a very serious and caring person Miss/Shadow: To add a youthful touch to the proceedings. They both give me a lot of faith in the young folk of today. And why not just have a good party with everybody, because I have just realised that you are all a really nice bunch of folk!

Georgit, I decided that it was a silly question after I posted it because I would like to invite all the regular contributors.  So you can be chief guest!  I really would love to meet everybody, I am sure we would have a great time - just guessing who everybody is would be fun.

I reckon if there was an AB dinner party there's a danger everyone would sit in stony silence, necessitating a trip to the nearest t'internet cafe before anyone spoke to each other! Or maybe not. That did happen on Drop the Dead Donkey once!

Oh IggyB, I said I thought it was a silly question after I posted it. Big hugs to you. And Quizmonster, of course, although I must admit I don't meet him on here very often - perhaps I don't visit the sections that need great intelligence very often. Now I have insulted everyone else!!!

Good grief - can't leave out QM, or it'll be extra drill for all of you! As far as the funny little symbols, something dicky is going on with the HTML since the updating. I see my colleague gets a nice font pallette to choose from whereas I unfortunately do not.
