Stevenage - Roaring Meg
2 Answers
There is a roaring meg retail park in stevenage. Anybody have any ide why it's called this ? I've found that there is a roraing meg cannon that was used in the 1600's in a battle, but I can't see that this is connected with stevenage in any way. Has been bugging me since i moved up that way, so any help would be great.

Early locals also talked of an entity or witch, named Meg, that roamed the area
