The sad passing of a force for good and a voice for the average man and woman in a world of political correctness gone mad, or the joyous, long overdue death of an evil old hag pandering to lowest common denominator knee-jerk intorerance?

Is she dead?! When? How? I really liked her, so I'm going with your first summing up of the great lady.

Where did you see that Waldo?

Only last Wednesday the Mail said she would be returning soon.

BBC news site.
Yes, alas Waldo is right. She died of a brain tumour.

Oh dear, that is so very sad - a brain tumour.

Whatever we thought of her scribblings she did encourage heated discussions in our house at least - and she will be sadly missed. It's hard to believe - a real shock.

I agree Cetti. I'm sure the Daily Mail will have a big article on her life and times tomorrow. She was one amazing lady, whether we agreed with her or not (and most of the time, I did).
The latter.
I liked Lynda Lee Potter, she wrote how  I thought.  I shall miss her articles.   Her picture did not flatter her she looked a really toughie and I guess she was hard to work with, but she knew how to hit hard and was not afraid to speak out.
Neither really, but if I was forced to choose, I'd have to go with option 2.
I'm not particularly familiar with her oeuvre, but I would guess probably the latter.

She will be sadly missed by him & me each week in 'The Daily Mirror'!

Whoops I meant 'The Daily Mail!........I had just been looking at myself in the 'mirror'! Ha ha!
