Which one is your ring finger? (Annulus pronubis)

My Best Friend's Wedding is looming, so all this wedding talk has brought forward lots of bizarre talking points for us; we are strange in that respect. Lots of naff & lavatorial jokes have thus ensued.
Apparently in western cultures the ring finger is normally on the left because the vein in that finger is the vena amoris - directly connected to the heart. Some countries have the wedding band on the right finger; some even wear the engagement ring on the left & the wedding ring on the right.
I could go on to say what happens in Jewish and Indian traditions, but I won't because I'm bored now. I just wanted to play on the words annus probus. Sorry.
