The language is (it says here) Luxembourgish. An individual is a Luxembourger... But does it therefore follow that the nationality of a Luxembourger is Luxembourgish? It seems like a silly word, and I can't ascertain the veritee anywhere else. Help me Answerbankers!

I think you are right, it is Luxembourger.

Luxembourgian could also be considered...

i think it may be "luxembourgeois".

yeah, i'd go with luxembourgeois

according to Webster's, both the noun and the adjective are- Luxembourgian
I normally think of it as "ish", but all the varieties are probably acceptable.

In Luxembourg, the official language is Luxembourgish.  German and French are administrative languages.

Luxembourgish for Luxembourg is "Ltzeburg".  The people are "Ltzeburgers".  In English, they are Luxembourgers or Luxemburgers.

Your question on re-reading is

what is the nationality of X.....?

Should the answer be an adjective (Luxemburgish) or a noun, (Luxemburger)

I think the question , what is the nationality...? requires a noun, so the answer is Luxemburger.
