A rag-bag of ideas, too small for their own individual threads

1)  Since most mis-posted questions seem to belong in Quizzes & Puzzles, would it be worth putting this category at the head of the Categories list? (With the Category Search box at the very top, as lookslikemik suggested.)

2)  On the Q&P page only, how about a menu box with Is This Your Quiz? above it and Plunder our Archives! underneath.?  When they click on Pink Quiz, out roll all the Pink threads.
 
3)  If that is adopted, perhaps a suggestion near the question box that they make the name of the quiz the title of the question.

4) Perhaps also a sign near the question box in all the other categories Is this a quiz question?  If so Quizzes and Puzzles is the place to post it.

Your suggestion N� 2 means that someone has to be aware of all current quizzes and physically keep the listing up to date.

im afraid if all of your ideas were adopted people would be even more confused than they are now.but good on you for trying:maybe the eds getting just a little bit worried about h/her job with you around lol.

I agree.  2,3,and 4 might well make the site more confusing, not less.  I put them up to see if they had any merit.  I won't have to make them work.  And AB Editor needn't worry about losing his job.  How long he can keep his sanity, though.....

How about something as simple as a question that pops up only when you click OK to post:

 

IS THIS A QUIZ RELATED QUESTION?

(Y / N)?

 

If you click N then it posts in the category you have chosen and if you click Y it posts in Quizzes & Puzzles.
