MM and KM Link Games March [Week 4]

Good evening.

The final weekend of March is upon us and the winners of both the MM and KM Links Games will be

decided over the next couple of days. In the MM Game, will slaney be able to hold onto her lead

or will one of the chasing pack overtake her? Who will inherit the crown? Who knows?

Thanks to misterEguest for filling in during the inter-regnum. He will be back for the last time

tomorrow to present his final set of links for you to guess. I have asked him to cut back on the clues

so it should be more down to who is on the same wavelength. But will he heed my request? Will you spot

them if he doesn't? I have already had to send back one set of proposed links because they had so many

options that it would have been difficult to score. Let's hope the replacements are somewhat easier to guess.


Participants in he MM game will gather at 8:45 am and set off at 9:00am. (Be sure to arrive on time if you

want to be in with a chance at the bonus points - and believe me, you'll need them to catch slaney.)
Also look out for the sister game of the KM Links (based on the Daily Telegraph GK Crossword)

which will start around 6:30am and is managed by seekeerz from the antipodes.

The rest of this thread is now thrown open to the habitual lurkers of the shrubbery and their guests.

I've just has a peek in here behind the Hebes and I am amused that you are all looking for clues where there aren't any (but I would say that wouldn't I?). Make of it what you will.

I apologise for making a right dogs' breakfast of the line spacing of the post. I simply forgot to turn off 'Wordwrap' in Notepad before copying and pasting the content.


And Pauline I am still looking for that last elusive NE Town. Like K, I demolished the T words for breakfast but some of those towns are really obscure.

Yes, crofter always does a really good job with these quizzes but he and I aim our quizzes at different audiences. I think he feels 'burnt out' at the moment and bereft of ideas for a new quiz.
