Now that the scummy underclass that is the chav is being widely ridiculed by the press, is it now time we had a chav amnesty to allow them to turn in their burberry caps, hoodies, 'trackie bottoms' and cheap gold and allow them time to stop breeding at 13 and go out and get jobs like the rest of us have to do?

 

Do they actually know that they are chavs?

 

We call them pikeys 'round these parts, but as chav is the official 2004 buzz word, I guess we need to change.

Oh yes, and the festering fetid pile of steaming excrement that is The Sun has pronounced itself 'proud to be chav' - doesn't overly surprise me, as I seem to recall that The Sun has a reading age of 10 - which is I think about the level of the average chav education.

I HATE CHAVS! Wish there could be an amnesty but as has been pointed they are not aware that they are chavs. They make my skin crawl, and i used to quite like Burberry stuff. Have you been to argos.co.uk, type in chav in the search box and see what you get, lol!

How did that happen? Anyway, as I was trying to say, we call them scallies round my way, and yes, we should round them up and make sure they get rid of all burberry, socks tucked into trackie bottoms (I hate that the most) and grim earrings! Brilliant post, by the way!

Got the Chav Babes calendar from chavscum.com - It's superb! Unfortunately, some of the pictures on chavscum seem to be sent in by the subjects themselves. They're chavs and proud! Lord help us...

Remember, these people are our best chance of solving the pensions crisis with their ability to reproduce and lower the average age of the population. I don't like the Chav , or Ned as I would call them, but I respect their right to exist.

I'm disturbed by words like underclass and scum, but I may not share the same experiences as previous posters. I've read some pretty tolerant comments on this site about very controversial groups or types of humans, but this attitude is new to me. Maybe I just have a long memory when it comes to marginalising sections of society, ethnic groups, religious sects, and the like. What I've read here makes me uneasy.

I understand what you're saying NoGood Boyo as I would always advocate tolerance, but there's just no denying that it's funny to poke fun at a stereotype (eg Irish jokes). Like most of the other people here I am continually harrassed by chavs, because of my hair. Verbal abuse is the best I can expect, but I've had eggs, tin cans and fireworks thrown at me. It doesn't exactly inspire you to respect them.

newtron - amongst other things & putting it politely, a 'chav' is a young person, often without a high level of education, who follows a particular fashion. Say no more!

The exact definition is Council House And Violent, hence CHAV. The Scottish equivalent NED, means Non-Educated Delinquent.

I won't be able to watch this because I know It'll wind me up - the little chavs knocking out kids so they can claim loads of benefits, including a house that they won't pay rent on and with the local authority paying their council tax - sitting on their backsides all day, and then collecting their dole money every week: Meanwhile, you and I work our butts off and then get fleeced by the treasury (we pay far too much direct and indirect tax in this country, but that's a different subject that I could moan on and on about), and then our taxes go to pay for these workshy scumbags to continue sitting at home sponging off you and me.

 

And their kids will see this as normal and follow suit - monkey see monkey do.

 

Lizzie Borden and her scumbag husband - raking in �37,000 a year in benefits: that's the equivalent of a �55,000 a year job before taxes - that is a damn good salary by anyones standard, and they get that for doing sweet FA.

 

Well yes, we should be very angry that this situation exists in the UK, and is getting worse.

I hope everyone reads the post by flanker above. Not only was it authentic bigoted bile, but it summed up the way most decent people actually feel.
