Safe free webcam chat

Are there any completely free, safe webcam chat sites. I got a webcam to speak to my kids and grandkids as I am now disabled due to losing a leg.
I was wondering if there were any where you could just chat and have a laff and meet a range of people.

Aston, I use Skype. You can have webcam chats with your contacts, or use it as instant messaging or phone calls.

you don't need a webcam to chat ... look at ab ... imagine if you had to look at us all as well!!!!

while it's nice to see friends and family ... chat is something I avoid like the plague -
AB is a bit of a diversion and we do swap a bit of banter - but it's all done in installments

but I wouldn't want to be making my real self known to anyone I didn't already know
