For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I view this day less as a time to celebrate the actions of those brave British soldiers who fought in WW1, but to remember the terrible absurdity of this war, the tragic and senseless loss of so many lives - right across the world. This was supposedly the war to end all wars. During those two minutes of silence, we should take the time to consider the past and learn from it. Never again must we allow such an event to occur.
