I want to visit a truly terrifying haunted location in the UK... something a bit different and scary.. Anyone got any good ideas?

I don't know about haunted but some of the customers in Primark on a Saturday scare the life out of me.

The Ghost Ride at Hunstanton scared the sh1t out of my 7 year old niece
If you go to Ediburgh the castle is meant to be very haunted. Watch 'Most Haunted' on Living TV for ideas. Also, apparently York is the most haunted city in UK.

Don't know if this is any help, but the most haunted city is said to be York

The ye olde trip to jerusalem in nottingham is a good place been there the 24 th of october and it was good and alot of thinks happend banging noise , walkie talkies went of by them selfs only cost us �200 well worth it , our investigation team where pleased with what we got will are returning there later next year

 

 

There is a supposed to be a ghost at Hampton Court Palace but I don't think it is particularly scary.
The late night tours around Edinburgh can be pretty frightening. Also try Littledean Hall in the Forst of Dean. Reportedly the most haunted house in Britain; certainly got me going when I was last there.
try ribchester hall nr blackburn it is said to be very haunted!
