Watching the news I noticed that a lot of the American forces have the flag on their uniform sleeve but with the "Stars" top right instead of top left....Why is this?

Not sure if I should have put this question in this section maybe it should have gone in History
I've seen a similar question asked on anothe Q & A site with a more American readership.  The answer was that the flag is displayed so that the hoist (the pole end of the flag - the stars) is to the front while the flag "streams" to the rear.  So the flag you saw should have been on the right sleeve.  A left sleeve version would have the stars at top left.
