Hello all,
I have to travel from the coach station in Birmingham city centre to the NEC next thursday, I was wondering what is the cheapest way of doing this? also what kind of cost it is?

Tonyav's suggested route involves a bit of a hike (estimated at 11 minutes on the NEC website) to get to Birmingham New Street station, followed by a 10 to 15 minute train journey. You might find it simpler to catch the service 900 bus (every 30 minutes, 25 minute journey) directly from Digbeth Coach Station to Birmingham International Interchange. See here:

Bus fares within the West Midlands are some of the cheapest in the country. The single fare is £1.70 but you can get a day's unlimited travel on National Express West Midlands bus services for £3.30.
