Is this minaret necessary or is it just another symbol of the great Muslim invasion?
This intrusive structure doesn't even look like the traditional minaret, yet this and two arches are costing £2.5million of public money, handed out by the notorious Council chiefs in the east London borough of Tower Hamlets.
We the indigenous peoples of England are constantly told not to raise our national flag.to alter the name of Christmas to the "Festive Season" and all other unreasonable requests, all in the name that it may offend some.
Well I say now these symbolic structures cause me and many others offence, and should not be allowed in our land.

What are your thoughts on China Town and what are your thoughts on the Angel of the North?
It appears (reading between the lines) that this is to boost tourism in the area. £2.5 Million is not a lot of money to spend in a community - the park over the road from where I am just had a refurb and that cost £2.1 Million. That involved no structures and very little in the way of art.

I have never been told to not raise our national flag - in fact just after the refurb of the aforementioned park, the council had the St Georges flag flying - it has since been replaced (not because of complaints but because it has been replaced with a 'Green Flag' as it has won an award). You will be pleased to know that there are two houses within 100 yards of my house which fly the flag though.
Also not sure who has changed the name - I am celebrating Christmas, have had several cards and even been invited to several Christmas parties.

Your 'Muslims have stolen Christmas' post is late this year AOG.
Contrary to what you might read in the Mail, no one celebrates the festive season or goes to festive season carol concerts. No one asks how long you are off work for over the festive season. It is only in that strange embittered world of the right wing press that Christmas is banned.
In am sure the spire on Salisbury Cathedral is not necessary either. There is nothing English about Westminster Abbey, it being French Gothic in style, as are most other of our great cathedrals.
Fortunately, we live in a free country, and we can build our Churches and Synagogues and Temples (planning permission permitting), without jumped up nimbys getting on their high horse.
What are your views are say, the Royal Pavillion at Brighton?

or the Pagoda at Kew gardens

i don;t get it, its not a minaret is it, just an artists sculpture/tower thing described as 'minaret looking (or rather hilariously juvenike) rocket shaped.
looks ugly to me in a sort of arty way, quite why someone would get all feathery spitting because it is minaret looking is beyond me. beick lane is full of muslims.
