I have come across this surname in a book.  Is it pronounced "win" or is there another pronunciation?

It's hard to see how else it could be pronounced - assuming it to be a British-type name - so what makes you think it might be different? I suppose if the name existed in German, it would be pronounced Vinne...almost as in Vinny Jones!

More information on the name Wynne: it is a form of the Welsh word 'gwyn' which means 'white', 'fair', or 'blessed'.

Me again! Yes, it is pronounced like the word 'win'.
