Aldi/Lidl Moisturisers

I am thinking of trying a moisturiser from one of the above shops.

I have noticed that some of you ladies have mentioned that you use them and wondered if you could tell me what they are like.

I have quite combination skin and a lot of moisturisers are just too rich (including those for combination skin!!).

So could you tell me if these creams are quite light or rich? Thank you very much.

Quite light but effective, no sensitive skin reactions (I have sensitive skin), seems to be doing a good job so far. There's a general range and a mature skin range. The eye cream is good too. I use Lacura from Aldi and very chuffed with it. It was recommended to me on here.

seem comparable to the ones you see on tv about the level of L'oreal or Niiveas better ones,, they do variants for normal skin and dry/and now matue I think also lighter 'milk' types so you get a bit of choice, they have the same ingredients ie retinol/q10 etc and SPF 15 (mostly) in the day creams they also do eye creams etc....the good thing is you can afford to use them generously ad have a full set of products for the price of one pot of one of the brand leaders. Cheap enough to dollop onto knees and elbows too

Really pleased with the ones from Lidles (No Aldi near me). About £2.00 per pot. Day cream also has SPF15 factor. Quite like and suit my sensitive skin. As rowan says, at that price you can use on knees and elbows etc. without feeling guilty about money!!

I remember in one of Gok Wan's tv programmes, they rated the Aldi moisturiser as one of the top ones, above moisturizers that were over ten times the price.

In addition to Chickadee's question - are they any good on greasy skin?

I seem to have a combination skin and every cream I try is either too greasy or not enough to help the dry patches - I am sick of spending a fortune trying them all!

Greedy, I occasionally get oily skin around the Tzone area and so far, so good with these creams when I do. But at £2.00 a pot, you may as well just get some and give it a go m'love, you've nothing to lose and they'll probably be fine! :c)

Did you get dianette in the end? (Or am I thinking of someone else!) As if you did, that'll probably help with your skin anyway.

I was prescribed Yasmin - only been taking for a short while so no effects yet. We shall see. I hope it works. Thanks for asking =)

I've been using Aldis 'Shimmering Day Cream' for a few months, and I too have quite oily skin...even at my advanced age!. It feels lovely going on,not heavy at all.
At £2 a pot,I have no complaints.

I use Aldi's serum and I have never looked back!

It is absolutely fantastic and at nearly £4 a bottle it is worth every penny! So is their face creams. I too have greasy skin and it has not made it worst.

Their shower cream is good too, lathers up and moisturises. Also their body cream is good.
Hark at me I sound like an advert!! Lol.

i use their body cream too, its very nice to use just after a shower, it smells lovely and fesh.

Hi Chickadee, I use the Isere day cream (pink lid) from Lidl and the night time Isere cream (blue lid) and I think they are brilliant, I would have combination skin and I think the nighttime one is lovely if your skin is dry, it's like a treat for the skin!!!
The day time one soaks in lovely and my foundation goes on lovely over it.

I also use the cien eye contour cream from lidl and that is nice also, it has aloe vera in it.

Brilliant stuff . I use Aldis serum and the Lacura cream .It's the one in a pink pump bottle .
Just slogged upstairs to get it :)
Energising day cream with papya extract,pro vitamin B5 and vitamin E .I've also tried the shimmering one that Pasta mentions .I have oilyish skin and can't bear any greasy creams. This sinks right in.
You have to grab it when they have it though .Sign up for their Email as when it's on promotion they get the whole range in .Last time I went they only had the jars and not the pump bottles .
