Banning the veil

I'm beginning to have second thoughts. If this is the lady shown in the photograph who was fined for wearing the veil then she is due a refund.

Does it show the full Vail on their passport? If I went into a Bank with a Crash helmet on I would be asked to remove it for security reasons & that is right, when driving a car as we have all seen have these people got FULL VISION? I think not, I to a point feel sorry for these women, their men seem to be " Control freaks" never mind their religion, they from what I have seen treat their women like 2ND rate citizens! I have said this before, & before you bloody Racist's @rsols jump up & down with my views, this is Britain we have free speech ( well I think we have) Hanza seems to get away with it so, why can't the UK People? & again before you Bloody Human Rights brigade pipe up, I abide by this country's rules not flaunt them when It suits. Now the Racist brigade condemn what has been stated, are the comments true? I only speak the truth & so does the thoughts of others..
Quite honestly, there are days when after gardening or DIY I can't be bothered to get hair done, put make up on, get into clean clothes and just need to pop down the corner shop for something and wonder, now if I slipped a burka on ....
Honestly, I don't know any Muslim woman who prefers to go out in this heat dressed like that when she could wear cool clothing

I think this time we might be missing mike's ppoint - the person in the picture with the title "Muslim woman fined...." is most definitely a bearded bloke, not an unveiled woman!
BTW TWR we were behind a woman wearing a nikab veil at the airport recently, she was asked to go aside and show her face to Passport Control. She went but the bloke with her objected and was put firmly in his place.

PS Coccinelle, I've worn hijab in Arab lands, the overdress is very cool and you can just wear a t-shirt and light skirt or leggings underneath, it's not at all stifling.
Cazz's point is true, you can get away with all sorts of hair under the headscarf - thought the women I met in Saudi had exquisite clothing and the latest hairstyles under their full black gear.

Dressing up to be like mum, then, cazzz?
I hardly ever see anyone wearing a full burka unless I go to London, several locally wearing the headscarf but burka-wearers really are realtively few. They said this morning that in France there will only be about 2000 women affected who wear the full gear.
Most Muslim women I know wear modest UK clothing (or their own cultural clothes eg shalwar-kameez) and a headscarf.

I live in birmingham and it is densely populated with all sorts of nationalities, some parts of birmingham are 99% muslim, I see burkas around a lot, I dont have a problem with the women that wear them apart from finding it difficult to make out what they are saying, my worry is the abuse of the burka for criminal activities.
although the women who wear burka's whilst driving are very dangerous, they cannot see properly and I have had a few close calls.

True boxtops; only 2000 will be affected but there has been a rise in the past couple of years. Young male muslims are being led to believe that if their wife wears the burka they will go to paradise so shows his wife is pure.
I still laugh when I go into Paris and notice the burka clad women getting their photos taken in front of the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower.... I mean?????
