arghhhhhh! I was out last night and someone semi-famous (or possibly really famous) was there. he's about 55-60 years old, looked a bit like Billy Connolly, grey hair and a goatee beard that was dyed purple. I'm sure he is known for dying the goatee all sorts of colours.

I think he was on one of those Fame Academy type of programmes, and I linked him to Carrie Grant but can't find him on the net. even the kids knew his face, but I don't know who he is.

any ideas?

no, it wasn't him, MadOgre.. he was quite slim.

it was a music festival in Enfield, beejay, so it was ;o)

he was with a man who looked like an older Joe Pasquale (oh, I can't stand him!) who walked with a stick. they were both having photos taken with "fans".

there was also quite a good Charlie Chaplin, but methinks not the real one!
