Have noticed; surprising, is it not, that web polls are not listed on the "What is the most annoying thing about websites?" survey...

Surely, if you don't like them you can just ignore them, so why would anyone find them annoying? I mean, slow loading pages are obviously a potential annoyance to some, as are pop-ups, animations and so on, but unless and until you decide to vote, a web poll is just a few words at the side of the page. Isn't it?
Personally I find all those on the list annoying but I could only vote for one....   :o(
Octavius - delete your cookies and you can vote again! Repeat as desired to vote as many times as you like... :)
Cheers Indie - what I can't fathom though, is why slow loading pages feature so highly, surely if you enter a webiste and it is slow, you just close it or go back and find an alternative website - the information on a website is hardly unique is it.....

Ignoring is one option yes, however as previously said by others, slow loading pages could be exited out of, pop-ups can be blocked, annoying music can disappear by simply turning off the speaker... The logic can apply to lots of options.

I think its ironic yes Weaza_cfc!x
