Disappearing Yahoo groups

For some months I've been a member of a Yahoo group, but it's suddenly disappeared.  I know that Yahoo will delete groups if they don't have at least one message a month:  do they delete groups for being too busy?

The Answerbook group, which has been mentioned here once or twice disappeared without trace this afternoon.  A successor group NewAnswerbook
was set up pretty quickly, so idle chat can continue, but we're all very, very puzzled.

Has anyone experienced this before with Yahoo Groups?

Yahoo groups are a spammers dream...You log in, start posting about genital enlargement or such like, and Yahoo punt out your message to thousands of small-tackled potential customers. It reaaaally annoys me, since it leads very quickly to the group getting shut down, since no one subscribes to the group any more. yahoo need to sort this. nooooooooow! lol
According to their TOS http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/ they can pretty much delete a group if they don't like the weather.

As it is a service that Y! don't charge for, they can pretty much do as they wish.
