We're doing abit more shopping today and i've still got to get two more pressies.

1) for my brother in his late 30's who's a child at heart. (honest he's been round mine for christmas before, when i was about 11 and he got up earlier than me!) and likes gadgets, especially kitcheny things.

2) for a man in his late 50's, possibly earlier 60's, who's diabetic and supports birmingham city!

suggestions anyone?

ps.2) is a physics teacher, with a good sense of humour, are there any funny books about that are to do with teaching or science. I just thought about getting him 'f in exams' but I'm not sure if it would make him despair, thinking that they are real answers that his students may have put down, I probably would, but have a good chuckle at the same time.

might do boxy, helen another good idea, he knows he's a brilliant teacher (he's the one that always gets voted the best teacher at the prom) and would probably find it amusing.

I don't think a candyflood machine is a very good idea though, he'd end up giving laods to his 3 year old daughter . . . .

Molly, you can't be the food policeman all your life, give the gift in the spirit in which it's intended............ what your brother does with food for his daughter is his business, not yours. I think it's a brilliant idea!

The dentist was suprised the other day when he saw I was 17 and had no fillings. My normal dentist was ill so I saw the other one that works there who said i was the oldest person he'd seen without a filling in a long time, although they aren't the whitest he's seen ( I drink a couple of coffees a day, that's probably why)

Hi Mollykins, my two sons are both in their thirties and neither has any fillings in their teeth, and I work with a 44 year old without fillings so you have a way to go yet to beat any records. ;>) I bet there are even older people out there with perfect teeth. BB

I must live in an unhealthy area TBF it is near yarmouth with one of the highest rates of obesity, and if you eat bad enough food to be obese, you probably have aweful teeth aswell.

I'm notsaying there's a causal link, but if you're obese, it generally means you eat unhealthily and if you eat unhealthily you'll probably have bad teeth.
