On the Oncology childrens cancer ward i work on, a little girl of five who has lost hair through treatment asked how she was coping.
She thought about it and said "the best thing about my chemo is i dont have hair and my nits have all gone so i dont itch anymore "
as they say out of the mouths of babes !!!!!!
if she can face the world with a smile then so can you :0) have good day all x

When my stepdad was in Killingbeck Hospital in Leeds after having surgery to remove a lung, i saw the kids on the opposite ward with their drips on the stands playing games. My kids were only 9 + 6 and I thought then how lucky I was to have healthy kids.
i had a project not long back developing a new facility for the teenage cancer trust and a childrens dialysis ward. it was the most depressing yet inspiring time for me, in equal measure.
i only had to dip in and out, and even managed to squeeze out some christmas treats for the staff/children from my scroungey boss. i do admire the people who work in this environment day in day out, and the spirit of the children at their lowest ebbs.
