Pet gripe - people who constantly disagree or split hairs with the next person.
Hi jno - don't think you are really getting this. People are meant to say what their gripe is (rational or not), not say what their gripe is and then provide evidence to support it.
People not thinking where they park their car and/or people not thinking where they subsequently stop next to said parked car!

For example....people will park 10 meters away from a set of traffic lights and then other people will stop at the traffic lights right next to the parked car so nobody can get through meaning the whole lot gets grid locked.
I carefully measured my net curtains in centimetres etc because, although I am old and more used to inches I thought I had better get used to it as it was the modern thing to do. When I laid out my requirements the assistant, who was quite young turned it into inches .I need not have bothered.

Micmak, I think I will be a founder member of your Liars Anonymous, because I tell them all the time. But not malicious ones.

I apologise for infringing on your thread ;-( but it does not alter the facts on lies.
true, alexanderd, but I am having trouble thinking of any gripe beyond my gripe about people having unreasonable gripes. It's my sweet nature, don't you know.

must be more, tourists stopping me in the street, asking how they get to some attraction or other, i wonder whether i have a blue sticker on my forehead with tourist guide imprinted on it. The nitwits who get on bus, have no idea of where they are going, including brits, so not just tourists, and women, mostly, who dig deep in the handbag the size of wembley stadium to find travel pass, not there, nor pockets, coat, indeed anywhere, get off bus...

i had one checkout woman loudly lambast me all because i had inadvertently stood in a queue that was cash only. They had the tiniest sign and i didnt see it, then spent the next twenty minutes, having to get all the goods put on another conveyor belt, and then waited for that to be put through. I haven't been back to asda since.
Bad manners. People who don't say please and thank you.

Idiots who ride quad bikes/souped up cars on roads and razz the ar$e off them so that the hideously loud noise that comes out of the exhaust scares the doo-doo out of everyone around.

Drivers who don't thank you for letting them out.

Amongst many others...lol!
i hate the chnage on top of notes too...i asked osmeone once about it and they said 'it looks nicer' !...maybe but i couldnt care less what it looked like, i just dont want the coins to slide off the top while im fumbling to get the notes into my purse one handed...

i end up having to scrunch the lot up into a ball and sort it out later..
