If you are in a relationship, which jobs do you do automatically assume are 'yours' to do. Do you assume some jobs to be a womans job & some to be a mans?

We share all the jobs. My OH often does the ironing and cleaning ( but never cleans the loo for some reason). I have mended the Vac,unblocked the loo, mowed the law and when it stops raining i am painting the fence.

Really interested to see what comes up here .. see if theres any patterns to the job roles men and women do in the home!!

I don't work and my husband works full time so I do everything except jobs that involve power tools - that's not because they're ' man's jobs ' it's just that I'm very clumsy and not to be trusted with machinery.

I am female
My only job is the laundry, I won't let my oh anywhere near the washing machine because he refuses to sort colours from whites.
All other jobs are done by whoever gets round to it first.
my oh hates power tools so anything that needs doing around the house involving their use is done by me when he is out.

So mostly, jobs are shared .. are there some jobs in your relationships that one or the other fall in to doing because one of you does that job better than the other or may be because you've always done that job from the start anyway? Do women load the washing machine more than men? Who's cleaning the loo .. (pretty snowdrop (female) does that job in her household. Who takes the bins out .. food shops .. decorates .. does the gardening?
