Do You Have Time?
67 Answers
According to a survey, the average man in the spends twenty years working, twenty years sleeping, five years shaving and dressing, five years eating, one year telephoning, three years just waiting and sixteen years playing or relaxing.
Do you have time to do the things that matter most to you? Many persons do not, this despite the increasing use of timesaving devices. “With all the timesaving devices people have,” it has been said, “they have more trouble than anybody else finding time for anything.” Regardless of what country one lives in, this matter of finding time is an important one.
It is especially vital for true Christians, who are told: “Keep strict watch that how you walk is not as unwise but as wise persons, buying out the opportune time for yourselves.”—Eph. 5:15, 16.

I will share my beliefs if asked... and as for time I use it... to create things, to teach and to learn... I try to do what it right and ethically sound because I've thought about it....not because someone has told me what to do/believe.
I feel sorry for you...
I feel sorry for you...

To get the point may be necessary for you to think, not only of what is said, but also of what is being left unsaid to avoid hurting your feelings or embarrassing you.
Rowan @ And dont feel sorry for me...
Does the thought of enjoying everlasting life on earth under such conditions appeal to you? If so, you have reason to be joyful as life as a gift from God. And if you share these comforting Scriptural promises with others, you may bring great happiness into the lives of those who cry for help in this unfeeling, loveless world.

I'm not a christian Elderman...I abhor the cruelties and strictures of organised religion as they stifle reason, and suppress the individual..... I think of the atrocities where a belief system of whatever kind has been used as an excuse... sorry i hope the next near extinction event wipes out every church, every temple and mosque and leaves the remnant survivors free...
No Fairytale, humans have had plenty of time to bring violence and war under control, but it has only grown worse. Is it not obvious that men cannot do it? What hope, then, is there for the end of violence?
Yes the next near extinction will wipes out every church, every temple and mosque and leaves the remnant survivors free...
The fulfillment of Bible prophecy shows that and will be within your lifetime. “the sign” that Jesus said would mark “the conclusion of the system of things” is now undergoing fulfillment. This “sign” includes “the increasing of lawlessness.” (Matthew 24:3-14, 34)Yes what a marvelous relief when God wipes out this violence-ridden faithless world!

Oh, please don't think you have to spare my feelings, Elderman. You won't embarrass me. Tell me the brutal truth as you see it. Go on - hit me with it!

Oh Wow! That sounds like heaven to me. Imagine being free, Elderman. Can you do that? I very much doubt it.
By the way, do you have any words and thoughts of your own - or should we expect to continue to be subjected to someone else's. You see, what you have to bear in mind when discussing religion with the evil non-believer is that biblical texts mean absolutely nothing to him, so if you want to impress you really need to find another way to get your point across.

Welcome back Spreading, why do you not stand for the Archbish of Canterbury's role so you can preach your idiotic ramblings on the gullible. That would be far more productive than you Jehovian attempts here and it would spare us of your cut and pasting from the Bible. I can even manage that - and like Naomi and others, we do have a good knowledge of comparative religion and the difference between the moral code that the Bible (and the Koran etc) offers and the religious blah used, understandably so, to explain the unexplainable when the books were written..........
Elderman..you didn't hurt my feeling(s)( It is possible that I have more than 1). I was making the same point that others have made on this thread. If you want to persuade non-believers then you will have to use logical reasoning as that is what made them non-believers. Your biblical quotes carry no weight in an argument as they are but thistledown in the wind to a rational mind. Try to put your own thoughts into words, by this means the flaws in your arguments will become apparent and you will thus be able by iteration to develop a convincing argument if such is possible.
