where can 2 muslim women go on holiday?

Me and a mate are thinking of going on holiday for a week or so but cant think where to go. We are both married and muslim so don't want any partying resorts or anywhere renowned for being 'pick up' places. We aren't bothered about beaches and arent too bothered about the weather though i dont mean the north pole, so long as its anywhere between nice and scorching we arent fussy. We would like somewhere nice with things to see, places to visit etc. We would prefer somewhere that has a good muslim population as that would be more relaxing for both of us. Iraq and Iran are out as I've plans in the pipeline to visit them in the near future and would rather have my first visit there with my husband.
I've put this here rather than in travel cos from what im told hardly anyone looks in there lol

I'll rave a bit about Egypt too if you like! Its the most relaxing, beautiful and historic country for a holiday. Friendly people and very welcoming.
Everything is calm now after the revolution of this time last year and you'll be wowed by the pyramids, King Tutankhamun's mask, the Nile, the tombs and the temple. Avoid mid summer as its way too hot but otherwise its perfect.

Just to warn you, not everything is perfect....
(i) Airport can be chaotic
(ii) driving in Cairo (esp in a taxi) is a "sport"
(iii) One doesn't know how things work, esp bureaucracy, but somehow they do - can be mindboggling
(iv) food - largely crap - also with Egyptians they tend to eat huge at 4pm
(v) very dusty in major cities, sanitation ropy
(vi) hawkers everywhere
Other than that - the Coptic churches are amazing as is the Grand Mosque, the central market, some of the hotels a re not bad - in my time it was "stay at the Ramses Hilton, eat at the Nile Hilton" - plus the I-con was alright and the Marriott -in an old palace on the Island....there's also an Oberon (pricey though)
Miss Alexandria and head up river... or further south to the Red Sea.

Avoid groups at the Cairo Museum and get a guide between two or four of you - the place is an enormous warehouse and small parties can squeeze down the dark recesses - it's amazing......of course see the Tutenkhamen and remember the graffiti seen in a London pub, "Tutenkhamen, please come home. Your Mummy is waiting for you."
What is interesting about this question is that it specifies 'muslim women',I have never come across a question before that does this. For example if I said 'I am a man and am going on holiday with a mate, can you recommend somewhere preferably atheist, because we would feel more comfortable?' i am sure that would sound a bit strange.
I didn't understand why pdust would feel uncomfortable in a non-Muslim environment either, Jom. I might be wrong, but I get the impression that her previous name here was 'Pixi' (or something like that) and if that's correct she is an English girl who converted to Islam when she married a Muslim, so she's no stranger to western culture.

I understand exactly where pixi's coming from. If she goes to a place where there is a Muslim culture (as well as Western visitors), she's free to wear her Muslim garments and will be able to visit mosques if she wishes to pray while on holiday, and the residents will recognise how she may wish to conduct herself. To go to a traditional holiday resort eg Majorca means people in hijab are very conspicuous and have no "facilities" - a hijabi paddling in the sea (or swimming in hijab, which is perfectly permissible) draws huge comment from the bikini-clad beach. There is something about being comfortable in your holiday environment which I understand entirely. In hijab, the local men won't see any glimpses anyway.
