Just looking at another post where they have written Ure instead of Your - I might put YR, but why use 3 letters when for only one more, you can type the whole word?

I have mentioned before that I once received a letter from a parent complaining that the set homework was "2 hard 4 my son".
I think on here though some posters post via a phone and use text speak out of habit.

I don't like it because it's a lazy form of writing.
Received a text from one of my daughters and couldn't understand it at all.
Had to phone her to decipher.
I don't like abbreviations either, usually I have no idea what they mean.
Don't really know what lol means. Is it lots of love, lots of laughs or something else? I don't know.
